Our commercial development directors play a starring role in these transformative processes. They work seamlessly and collaboratively with the best and brightest green chemistry researchers and industry to bring world-changing discoveries to market.
We are looking for highly skilled individuals for our Kingston and Toronto offices with a unique mix of scientific expertise and entrepreneurial drive. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that encourages initiative, creativity and innovative problem-solving. You enjoy the challenge of driving multiple projects from inception to completion. You are energized by the potential for your work to have a positive impact.
As a commercial director you will work closely with our multinational industry partners and in-house scientific and technical staff to find and evaluate the most promising academic research. You will develop and execute commercialization plans that include product and application development, scale-up manufacturing, marketing, and business and intellectual property development.
You have an advanced degree in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering and extensive industrial experience in one of the following: polymers/materials, fine chemicals, bulk chemicals or oil & gas.
Energetic and enthusiastic, you have a track record of successful product and application development, outstanding written and oral communication skills and are equally comfortable working independently and in high-impact, cross-functional teams.
