Through its Chemical Industry Mobilization Program, GreenCentre Canada offers industry the opportunity to take part in truly foundational R&D by enlisting industry as working partners in assessing promising Green Chemistry technologies.
In exchange for their financial support and participation in governance, GCC industrial stakeholders can engage the centre in fee-for-service development contracts. Working with GCC, industrial partners will be able to leverage their development dollars through funding programs such as the NSERC Idea 2 Innovation Program and the Ontario Centres of Excellence Investment Accelerator Fund.
GreenCentre Services to industry include:
• Technology review and due diligence
• Intellectual property protection
• Identify and assess value to industry and undertake market analysis
• Develop product and/or process to address industry needs

Chemistry-driven SMEs face special challenges in advancing products or services to market. In support of this community, GreenCentre Canada also manages a $5 M SME Commercialization Fund, aimed at Ontario-based SMEs to support activities such as Green assessment, product and application development, scale-up manufacturing and targeted basic research in support of commercialization. These services are offered on a pure cost-recovery
(i.e. significantly lower than market rates) model.
